Because I always include text in my Irish Writers Paintings, I decided to find a quote somewhere in Seamus Heaney's
"Open Ground" Selected Poems. I found so many
candidates to include in the painting that I just couldn't
bear to have only one, so I decided to use individual lines
that really spoke to me. I had room for only eight of them...
